After a short and courageous battle with an unexpected cancer diagnosis, Margaret Shields, beloved wife of Ian Shields for 63 years, suddenly passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior at the age of 87 on April 13, 2026.

It is with very deep sorrow we at Rosewood, your Regina church, learn of the sudden passing of our beloved friend and fellow believer, dear Margaret. We grieve with you Ian, and keep you in our hearts! Margaret was so faithful & a friendly, engaging Christian. It gives us joy and courage in our own walk, to know & be assured that our supremely good God has lifted her out of this imperfect life into His very Presence & glories unimaginable to us yet! Where none of us who love Jesus would want to return from! However, after 63 yrs of marriage, so hard to go on alone! (I know after only 53 yrs marriage to Tom!) So our hearts & prayers go out to you, dear brother in Christ, Ian and we find comfort in knowing you are surrounded by yr children in Winnipeg!
